SHELL EGGS: Daily National Egg Market-at-a-Glance 


Prices in New York are 3 cents lower for Medium and larger sizes.  California and 
regional prices are steady.  The asking prices for next week's deliveries are trending
lower for all sizes.  The undertone is weak to sharply lower.  Supplies vary by location, 
but are generally moderate to heavy.  Offerings are moderate to heavy.  Retail demand 
is light to fairly good, while food service demand is very light to at times moderate.  
Market activity continues slow to moderate.  Breaking stock offerings are moderate to 
heavy for the mixed demand.  Spent hen offerings are moderate to heavy for current
processing schedules.
