Here's What to Expect From Walmart's Next Earnings Report

With a market cap of $738.6 billion, Walmart Inc. The Bentonville, Arkansas-based company is expected to announce its fiscal Q4 2025 earnings results before the market opens on Thursday, Feb. 20. Ahead of this event, analysts expect the world's largest retailer to report a profit of $0.64 per share, up 6.7% from $0.60 per share in the year-ago quarter. The company has surpassed Wall Street's earnings estimates in the last four quarters. In Q3, WMT exceeded the consensus EPS estimate by 9.4%.

Shares of WMT have jumped 71.2% over the past 52 weeks, outperforming both the S&P 500 Index's ($SPX) 26.5% surge and the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund’s (XLP6.8% return over the same period.

Walmart saw its shares rise 3% on Nov. 19 due to a solid Q3 2025 performance. Its adjusted EPS rose 13.7% year-over-year to $0.58 and total revenue grew 5.5% to $169.6 billion, both surpassing the consensus estimate. Walmart’s gross profit margin expanded by 21 basis points to 24.2%, driven by the U.S. Pricing efforts, improved inventory management, and higher e-commerce margins. The company raised its fiscal 2025 guidance, forecasting adjusted EPS between $2.42 and $2.47. Strong performance across segments, particularly in e-commerce, advertising, and a 27% surge in global sales, further supported the stock’s upward movement.

Analysts' consensus view on Walmart’s stock is bullish, with a "Strong Buy" rating overall. Among 36 analysts covering the stock, 29 recommend "Strong Buy," four suggest "Moderate Buy," and three advise "Hold." As of writing, WMT is trading below the average analyst price target of $100.08.
